I’m spending my Sunday tinking back my Koro Koro to where I dropped stitches. Due to the unique construction of the shawl I am not able to rip it back. Normally I would pick up the stitches, but (again, due to the unique construction) I am not able to pick them up. I thought about ignoring it, but decided it would bug me too much.
Please tell me about a time you had to spend a long time fixing a project. I need knitting camaraderie to get me through this.
Most lace patterns are difficult to rip back. Even when I have identified the problem and how to correct it, I still tink it instead of rip it.

Because I prefer complicated designs, often fixes are complicated or long. It’s all process, though. And I knit for the process, as well as the product. The worst was when I mindlessly knit a row of Fair Isle with one of the colors wrong – and didn’t catch it for several rows. No way to fix without tinking – it was just too obvious!

I seem to tink back a lot on all projects I do. However…when I did my winding down jumper I had a cable the wrong way and managed to drop down and fix it and felt super proud of myself.

That is impressive.

I have ripped back row upon row upon row of knitting. I have absolutely totally lost count of how many hours I’ve spent doing that. I hate to leave mistakes because they are glaring to me. Especially with anything lacy it just doesn’t work you end up losing track of the stitches totally. I’m sure it was worth the six rows to put your mind at ease.

I have to tink back or drop down or rip out a lot. But honestly, I do a lot more cheat fixing than actual fixing. So I salute your efforts in doing it the right way!

I thought about cheating this fix, but it just didn’t look right to me.

Ugh! I discovered life lines as a result of a lace cowl that went south during the blocking stage. Tears were shed. Bourbon was consumed. It was a dark day for Regina.

Thank goodness for bourbon. Thanks for making me feel better!

I recently did some “tink-ing” on my. non complicated knitting because I dropped a stitch.

I just had to pull out six rows of….garter stitch!!!! I totally messed up the center line on the Reyna shawl, and couldn’t get it right, so….I really can feel your pain.

I’m sorry you had to do that, but I do appreciate knowing I’m not alone.
