I finished a pair of Rose City Rollers. I used Spun Right Round in the Party Streamers color way. I enjoyed working with the yarn.
I currently have no socks on the needles and will probably keep it that way for a bit. I have mittens to knit for John and a hat to finish for a birthday present.
How are your socks coming along?
Your new Rose City Rollers are beautiful! As always, well made, and love the yarn 🙂

That’s the best way. Take your time and when they are finally done it is such a surprise.

Rose City Rollers is a pattern I’ve wanted to try for a while to use up some of my variegated yarn in stash. Yours look great. I couldn’t survive without at least one pair of socks on the needles (I currently have three in the works). They’re my go-to projects when I need a take-along project or TV knitting. I almost always have a pair on the needles for my husband’s size 14 feet. Those take a long time to finish.

Rose City Rollers are great for using up stash. Socks are such a good take-along project. Oh my gosh! If my husbands feet were that big I don’t know if I would make him socks.

I finished fixing another sock last night, so am down to one with a very thin sole. It has no holes at present, so I may have to give pre-emotive darning a try. The others had holes big enough that I just picked up the stitches on needles and knit a patch over them with a wool/nylon blend. Amazingly, it worked very well and DH says it is quite comfortable. I will do a pair for me next, but first want to finish the inside of my Orkney. I blocked it this week, and stretched it as much as I could. Hopefully that will allow me to keep it instead of handing it over to Girl #2!
