Oh my goodness we have been busy! I am tired already, I don’t know how I am going to stay busy all summer.
On Tuesday the kids and I enjoyed the sun by swimming and/or sitting on our patio. That night I had book club. I had an amazing time catching up the best book club. There are only three of us, and that’s how we like it. I stayed out until eleven, which is basically 2 am to Middle-Aged people.

On Wednesday we had a homeschool painting party. My friend Mikki and I throw parties for the kids about once a quarter. We’re the homeschool class moms. We were at the park from 9:30-2, and were all ready for a quiet afternoon after our busy morning. The kids watched a cartoon while made us a cocktail party dinner.

On Thursday I babysat for a friend all morning. Most of the morning was spent with the kids in the pool. After lunch we met up with some homeschool friends to play at the big park down the hill from us. We went to the summer reading kickoff program at the library after the playground. That night we all slept well.

On Friday we relaxed at home until after lunch. After that Audrey headed to her first sleepover at a friend’s house. Being my child, she was most concerned with the schedule. She’s a kid who likes to know what is going to happen when. John, Elliot, and I went downtown to meet up with friends visiting. We had a night on a patio catching up. Elliot was happy to see the train tracks.

On Saturday Elliot and I picked up Audrey and her friend and headed to roller skating lessons.

Elliot is not a fan of skating lessons, and preferred to sit with a project bag on his head. He was tired from staying up late on Friday. So was Audrey. We survived the rest of Saturday.
Today I finished my Horizon Sunset shawl and gave it to my friend. She loves the shawl. I’m very happy I made it for her.

This week is going to be just as busy. Kirsten’s older kids are visiting for Camp Sarah Jane, so we have lots of crafts and projects planned. I hope to find time to catch up on your blogs, knit, and read. I hope you have a good week!
I can relate to Elliot.

You would probably use a bag you made yourself though, which would make it cooler.

Wow, I got worn out just reading about all your activities. Sounds like a lot of fun though.

11 pm is 2 am – thanks for the laugh! Yes I agree! If we are out at 10 am, I feel like I’ve been partying all night – ha! You have been busy! Great photos! Hope Audrey enjoyed her first sleepover (that brings back childhood memories!)
I guess a project bag on the head is a way to deal with enduring skating lessons – ha!
