We woke up to snow this morning. It didn’t stick to the ground, but there were flurries all day. My kids were excited, because they know that if it is snowing when they wake up they get the special treat of Nutella on toast for breakfast. I was excited because I could bake all day to keep the kitchen cozy. Wrigley and John, not having fun snow routines, were not excited.
As I started to think of the upcoming winter and slowing down I started to think about hibernation. Not of animals, but of projects. I decided that it was a good time to take a project out of hibernation. I reached for my Dumpster Fire ornament. I want to finish it before we put the tree up. I’m also excited to work on a small project, because I’m still working on Koro Koro and probably will be until the Cubs win the World Series again.
Do you have any projects in hibernation that you are ready to pull out for knitting season?
I have a beaded shawl UFO that needs a re-work. Your prompt is getting me to consider taking it up again after Christmas.

And here I am, in short sleeves, kayaked today on the current road trip, now in Louisiana. I have too much active knitting to think about getting something out of hibernation!

Yay! You will have fun finishing your dumpster fire ornament 🙂 I got my Arrowhead cardigan back out of its short hibernation and am working on it again.

Yes, once I finish the cowl I’m working on, I’ll pull out my Aurora Borealis cowl, which has been in hibernation since last Christmas.

I hope that I’ll eventually get back to my sweater I stopped working on when I was pregnant with Elliot.

Can I move in? A) you get more snow and
B) you get Nutella for breakfast when it snows. Your house is the coolest.

Oh yes I have several things that I’ve pulled out for winter crafting! Love the idea of hibernation in regards to pulling things out to work on during cold weather. Oh and baking all day and keeping the kitchen cozy sounds awesome!
