Yay! You can do it! I was started spinning on a drop spindle and then once I had developed some competence it translated pretty well to the spinning wheel as it is the same process only horizontal. Best lesson I learned… if you get into trouble you can stop peddling!
Oh how fun! I looked at a few small spinning wheels at the festival. The only quandary for me is time away from knitting. That and space, but these smaller wheels are lovely.
Good luck! I look forward to updates.

Thank you! I hope to have updates. So far I can’t figure out how to draft.

For now I mostly look at it and think about maybe trying it for 15 minutes a day.

I’m going to take lessons the next time the guild offer them, because I cannot figure out drafting.

It’s like riding a bike. It is really hard until that moment when it all comes together. 🙂

That is awesome, next you might get some sheep?!?! Now you can knit directly from the source! But seriously that is awesome and it looks fun!

I totally want sheep. I want Shetland sheep and I want one to be named Beau, that way I can call it Lambeau (I love the Green Bay Packers).

Awww – you are always naming your sheep! I could totally see you Beau hanging out by the spinning wheel 🙂

So far my spinning wheel is used for decoration, but I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually.
