I Went to the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival and All I Got Was Amazing Memories and Lots of Yarn.

There are times when an experience is so great it is hard to put into words. My trip to the Wisconsin Sheep and Wool Festival was like that.

Last weekend I headed to Wisconsin with my Woolies, Kirsten, Jess, and Ivy. Bonny was there too (and, to be honest, after I met her the first time she was immediately one of my best friends. We just clicked. She’s awesome). Alissa flew in from Ohio to round out the group. It was my first time meeting her in person, and it was just so great. It is like I’ve known her forever. The whole group got along great, and we spent a lot of time knitting and laughing. I finally had a group to play Knitters Against Swatches with.

I’ve had a hard time transitioning back into my real life. I’m already counting down the days until we go back next year.

Good times, and such a lot of lovely yarn. Good for you. One day I want to go to Shetland Wool Week in Scotland. It’s a bucket list item. I love Madison though, and they have the Farmers Market to beat all farmer’s markets. Hope you got to see that too.

  2. Looks to have been a great time with good friends and sheepy goodness, I see Biden has finally dropped the travel ban for UK visitors now! I love playing games so I’m as jealous of missing out on that (and s’mores) as I am on the wool festival.
