I took a break from blogging for a bit, but I did not take a break from knitting socks.
I made a new pair for John. These are knit in Pattons Kroy in the Blue Ragg colorway. I really like this yarn. John is hard on socks, so I’m hopeful these will be hard wearing.

I also made a pair of socks for my mom. I used my May Knit Spin Farms club yarn in the National Rose Month colorway (thin stripes of bright spring green and vibrant pink soft gradient blending of pale rose, ivory, and mint). I’m not usually a pink person, so I’m giving these to my mom. I have enough left over for a pair of Rose City Rollers, so those will happen eventually.

Now I’m either going to work on a shawl or cast on my first pair of Bluestockings. Maybe I’ll do a little bit of both.
I really like John’s new socks. I think I even have some of that yarn!

I’ll be buying more of it the next time I find it. You can’t beat the price.

Hoo-rah for two FO’s! How is your husband hard on his socks? Walks around a lot or has a heavy step?

I have no idea why he is hard. His heels felt, even though the yarn is superwash. He wears holes in them quickly.

I like Kroy sock yarn, and I’ve eyed that colorway. I’m glad to see how it knits up – and I like that you go to the trouble to make the stripes match! Not always easy –

I don’t think I could wear socks where the stripes don’t match up. It would bug me. I wish I had picked up more of the Kroy, it is great yarn.

I feel like I’m not getting much done, but I think that is because I’m recovered and don’t just sit and knit all day.

Everyone does, but the kids don’t have as many because they tend to lose them.

Love the socks! Just letting you know I closed my blog. It wasn’t interesting to me to write in anymore and I was sick of the bots that followed my blog only to phish my account. But I love hearing from you and will continue to read &comment on your posts. I so enjoy following your family and adventures.

I’ll miss hearing about your dogs and knitting, but I totally understand being done with blogging. I felt like I was close to that earlier this month.

Patons Kroy is a real work horse. That colorway is one of the thinner ones but still hold up well. I am kinda addicted to Kroy because of the cost and great wear we get out of it.

I think I’ll always pick up Kroy when I see it. It is such good yarn for such a low price.
