Sock It To Me Monday

I’m working on a pair of socks for John out of some sport weight Regia. I have too many WIPs at the moment, so these aren’t going to fly like my other socks have been lately. OK, fine, it really isn’t my WIPs keeping me from working on these, it is that they aren’t for me. I really like this yarn, it should be hard wearing, which is important for John as he is hard on socks.

Do you have any socks on the needles?

  1. Oh i do not. But I think you should keep this sock. Cause, you know. Its national women’s month or some such thing. You can’t be very productive Sarah, with lil ones and you trying to hop on one leg. YOU are healing. I didn’t have time to do any of this organization and cleaning When I was working part time and raising kids. DOn’t compare, because I only have one Camper, the fireman, and no one asks me for juice…ever

  2. I do have socks on the needles and I am going to spend the rest of the evening trying to get my second sock finished because I have another fingering yarn all wound up waiting to jump onto the sock needles itself. I love your colorway!

  3. John is a lucky guy, and you are lucky that he lets you use somewhat fun yarns for his socks! I get to use solid black or gray or green, blah. And yes, I had to cast on a new sock yesterday of course!

  4. I have never worked with Regia but I love the colors of socks others have made. I have NO socks on the needles. I just finished two projects that have been on the needles for a while so I am anxious for a new cast on or two.

  5. Yes, I always have a pair of socks on needles. Currently I have Fixation yarn on needles which I use to make vanilla anklets. I’m also making “advent socks” which involves making a stripe of colorwork roughly every month so that they are ready by Advent 21!! I like Regia. I’ve made several pairs with their watermelon stripes.

I have a lovely pair of socks for myself that I am halfway through the second sock and just don’t seem to have the ambition to finish, not sure why. After I finish that huge baby blanket I just wanted to start something new so I started a new sweater for myself and restarted it FOUR TIMES. That’s right, I never got farther than about 4 inches. After I couldn’t seem to fix the last mistake that I missed about 20 rows down I took it off the needles and rolled it back into a ball. Then I searched my favorite patterns on ravelry and found one that is easier because apparently I just don’t want to concentrate on tricky patterns. This one, I paid $8 for and is going smoothly, now I just hope I can get it to fit all of my sweaters end up way too big. But about the socks, maybe I’ll pick them up today and work on them. So silly not to finish them. Thanks for the inspiration.
