I finished my Midas Hat last night. This is the yarn Bonny bought because the photos showed the yarn as purple. This yarn is not purple. It is gray with flecks of blue and brown. I like it enough.
I love this hat pattern. I highly recommend it. Do you have a hat pattern you knit on repeat?

Yeah, that isn’t purple. I love the hat though. I have multiple versions of the Barley Light and Sokhead Slouch.

This yarn is tainted by bad experience but it does look like a good hat (she says grudgingly). I’ve knit the Duality hat many times, and now I’ve knit the Hinterland hat about four times.

I think I would just knit a standard hat, making sure there was a divisble multiple for the crown area where I’d k2tog at the end of each set of multiple.e

Oh yes I have one and only one hat pattern and I’ve made 10 – 12 of them so far. It is a pattern my friend taught me do not remember the name. Someday I will learn a new hat pattern.
