Sock It To Me Monday December 14, 2020 mildlygranola John’s socks are done! I tried to wind yarn for Christmas socks for me, but I ended up with two skeins of yarn barf. I’m thinking the yarn is cursed. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading... Related
Uh oh. Try smudging the yarn with sage? I canโt wait to get started on my Christmas socks. LikeLiked by 1 person December 15, 2020 at 5:45 am Reply
Looking good! Hey, as a mother of littles, I’m sure you would take yarn barf over any other kind! ๐ LikeLiked by 1 person December 15, 2020 at 7:02 am Reply
As long as it wasn’t on carpet I would take kid puke. LikeLiked by 1 person December 15, 2020 at 8:04 pm Reply
Sorry about your yarn barf, and I hope the yarn decides to behave better soon! LikeLike December 15, 2020 at 8:41 am Reply
I may have convinced myself to buy a new swift after Christmas. LikeLiked by 1 person December 15, 2020 at 8:03 pm Reply
I did, but I’m not thrilled with it. I might get on from Artist Supply Co, as I’m thrilled with the ball winder. I won’t need to wind again for a few weeks, so I’ll cool off and see how it works then. LikeLiked by 1 person December 18, 2020 at 8:37 pm

John’s socks look great! And yay for casting on for new Christmas socks! Sorry about the yarn barf. Do you have backup yarn? LikeLiked by 1 person December 16, 2020 at 2:47 am Reply
After two yarn barf skeins I decided to take a break from winding. I untangled them enough to use, so I just cast on with the second yarn. LikeLiked by 1 person December 18, 2020 at 8:36 pm Reply
That would get super frustrating. Glad one of the skeins is usable! LikeLiked by 1 person December 19, 2020 at 1:59 pm
Those are handsome socks. I had to look up yarn barf, good luck sorting it all out! LikeLiked by 1 person December 16, 2020 at 8:35 pm Reply

You’ll have to remind me: did you get an Amish-style swift?
