Audrey’s blanket continues to move along, one square at a time. She loves helping me pick out the yarn to use for each square. I love this project, and I have a hard time believing I won’t have a blanket like this on the needles.
That is a great looking blanket! So cool that she is helping you with picking yarn. The black squares really set off the colors so well! She is going to love that blanket forever 🙂
What a keepsake. I can’t believe how much you have done on this. Are you working in the ends as you go along?

Oh yes. I knit a square and sew in two ends every day.

It’s fantastic! Audrey will treasure it and the memories of picking out the yarn with you.
I hope you’ll knit another one:)

I really love how you’ve done the coordinating black squares – it looks so striking!

That was Audrey’s idea! I love it too. I wish I would have done it on my first two blankets.

I’m trying to do a darker and lighter yarn next to each other so it’s a bit of a checker effect, but this way is super cool

I love how your daughter helps you pick out the next square. I have had my oldest help me sometimes.
