For years we have had a magnetic strip from IKEA in our kitchen. Not hanging up, mind you. Just tucked away in a drawer waiting to see if we would become the kind of people who only have a few knives. I’ve given up on that idea. We both like to cook, and we both have our favorite knives, so really I don’t know what I was thinking the day I bought the knife magnet.
Even though we won’t use it in our kitchen, I’m glad I bought it. I was in the craft room earlier this week searching for my scissors. I remembered the knife magnet. 10 minutes later I had a scissors holder behind my machines.

I love having my scissors at the ready. When things are in their place it is so much easier to convince myself to get to work.
That’s a great idea!

This was obviously destined for craft scissors and not kitchen knives!

Smart idea. That will really come in handy with your gift wrapping station.

I need to remember to put paper scissors up there to avoid an unfortunate accident.

Excellent example of “use what you have” to solve a problem.

Genius! I am definitely getting one of those when I finally have my own craft room.
