Food Quiz

Karen, over at Nothing But Knit has a new quiz on her blog. I thought I would answer it here and encourage you to join in either by answering in the comments or on your own blog.

  • What is your favorite food?
  • Do you have a favorite dessert that you can’t pass up?
  • If you were on a deserted island and could have only one food besides the fish and coconuts on the island what would it be?
  • What is the best meal you’ve ever eaten?
  • Is there a food you wish you could make?

My favorite food is pizza.

I can’t pass up many desserts, but especially anything with lemon or dark chocolate.

If I were on a deserted island and could have one food besides fish and coconuts it would be salad in a bag. I wouldn’t have to prep the ingredients and they include vegetables, cheese, dressing, and something crunchy. I could add fish and call it a nice meal.

The best meal I’ve ever eaten was at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans. It was slow roasted goat in pastry with a salad on the side. It was amazing. I still daydream about that meal. Occasionally the friend I ate with and I will text each other about how good the meal was.

I feel like I can make anything I put my mind to, as I’m pretty active in the kitchen. The one thing I can’t do is finish a main dish and side at the same time. I have no idea how to do that. We normally eat one dish meals because I have such a hard time getting a hot vegetable ready at the same time.

Please share your answers in the comments or on your own blog.

  1. Ooh ditto on the pizza and desserts but you lost me on salad. I’d have to have gelato/ice cream. Best meal I ever had was in a Thai restaurant in Christchurch, New Zealand and every mouthful I could not help but ‘mmm’ out loud. Tried to book for the following night and it was fully booked. I can’t think what I can’t cook…I mean I don’t enjoy cooking so I guess I just haven’t tried to make most things. I live in hope my husband will take up cooking as a hobby at some point.
