Here’s the deal. I’m visiting my parents. I’m full of steak, wine, and love of country. I’m not getting my Oxbow out to take a picture, because wine and whine. I’m making good progress on my Hansel, and I’m wondering why I don’t knit exclusively in garter stitch.

Yes, that is a horrible picture. I’m sorry about that. Please ignore the shadows and be impressed with how much is done.
I hope your week is full of positivity and strength.
Your Hansel is looking amazing! Enjoy the steak and wine and time with your parents. Hang in there – it will be OK! Hugs 🙂

I hope you have a lovely visit with your parents:) Garter stitch is so underrated. Elizabeth Zimmermann has patterns knit exclusively knit in garter stitch. She was a huge fan:)

I am impressed with how much is done. I like garter stitch. It has lovely texture. And it is warm. My one negative is that patterns knit in garter require a lot more yarn, and good yarn isn’t cheap.

That really is a negative, but for the right project it’s worth it.

What a nice getaway you’ve had. This shawl looks like a solid, dense one that’ll help in cold weather.
