I’ve made a bit of progress on the really boring shawl. My mom fell last weekend, which has led to the need for mindless knitting. She had surgery on her badly fractured shoulder today. She now has a long recovery ahead of her.
If you are a prayer I would sure appreciate some prayers for my mom.
Your poor mom! How did the surgery go? I’ve added her to my list, keep us posted on her progress!

Oh, no, your poor mom. I think that shoulder surgeries are a long haul to recover from. I totally get the garter stitch shawl… I have knitted many a mindless project while hanging out at the hospital. I love that yarn, and I hope that your mom is out of the hospital soon and that her recovery is speedy.

I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. My dad fell off a ladder 15 years ago, breaking one hand and the other shoulder and I remember it was quite a while in PT until he could do things again. I hope she’s well into recovery by now.

Thank you. She is still in PT, and can’t use her left arm for much yet (she’s left handed, so it is annoying for her). She is doing much better than she had been.
