I read two books in August. Considering we moved on the third I’m amazed I finished any books at all.
The Yorkshire Shepherdess by Amanda Owen. I’m going through a phase where I just want to read about people who work with sheep. This book is about a woman from an industrial town who becomes a shepherdess. It’s entertaining. I liked it enough to order two more books by her. I give this book four out of five stars.
Oona Out of Order by Margarita Montimore. Starting on her eighteenth birthday Oona jumps to another year of her life at the stroke of midnight every year on her birthday. She is living her life out of chronological order. She might be 50 on the outside and 22 on the inside. It was a really enjoyable read, and I would like there to be a sequel. I give this book four out of five stars.
I’m not sure what I’ll be reading this month, but it is a safe bet it will involve sheep.
Those sound really interesting!

Did you see this one? A Short History of the World According to Sheep by Sally Coulthard? I haven’t read it yet but it’s on my list.

Is the Oona book confusing? Sounds like it might be, the way it jumps around, but it does sound intriguing!

The first book sounds like a fun memoir to read. I haven’t read one for quite some time.
