I always wonder with a different coloured heel how people avoid any lumps that may rub in your shoes where the 2 ends are woven in. Any tips? I have a lot of left over skeins that may need to have contrast heels and toes to get socks out of them.

I don’t have a problem as long as I make sure to sew the ends in on top of the sock. For the heel I sew the contrast color vertically though the heel flap.

Very cool! I have eventual plans to knit some Rose City Rollers with some of the yarn I have leftover from my son’s hat.
