Audrey requested sparkly yarn in her blanket, so I bought a skein of black sparkly yarn from Yarn Geek. I love how the checkerboard design looks. This blanket is fun to knit, and I think I’ll be making all of my future scrap blankets checkerboard.

The checkerboard is cool! Good eye, Audrey!

I like the fact that the only sparkle is in the black yarn. Very cool idea.

It is turning out just beautiful!! You inspire me to pull out all of my yarn scraps and to start making a blanket of my own. Stay safe!

Wow. Those blankets take a lot of time. All of you who are able to make them AMAZE me. They are like a knitted quilt!

I love breaking them into little chunks – one square a day. It doesn’t seem like much work and before you know it you have a huge blanket. They are a really good weight too.

Leave it to a five year old to come up with the best designed blanket I’ve ever made.
