HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope I have a bunch of projects to show you on Wednesdays this year. I’m planning on pulling a couple of things out of hibernation and actually finishing them this year.
I’ve already pulled out my Everyday Shawl and started working on it again. I finished a few rows on it today and I remember why I liked the shawl to begin with. I hope that feeling sticks with me.

I’m also working on a pair of socks for John. I’m using Yarn Geek’s MCN blend in the Ada Lovelace colorway. John is a computer programmer, so it is an appropriate colorway. They yarn is amazing, and I plan on keeping this project on the needles as long as possible to enjoy working with the yarn for as long as possible.

I hope your new year involves all of the crafting your heart desires.
Great projects! Your progress keeper looks beautiful in use:)

It is the softest yarn. I cannot recommend it enough.

Me too, I’m curious about the sock yarn. What makes it so wonderful? Colorway? Soft? Squishy?

It’s the cashmere that makes it luxurious and lovely.

Keep it up on those WIP! I am still waffling about ordering the yarn for the Orkney cardigan. I actually went to the KnitPicks site this morning and tried to color match and price it…

Go for it! I think buying a sweaters quantity is always OK – it will get used.

It’s 13 different colors, so I’m hesitant!

That sounds perfect actually – as soon as you get sick of a color you move on to the next one.

Both your shawl and the sock are looking great! Love the Ada Lovelace colorway, and that is a neat one for a computer programmer 🙂

You know one of my daughters gave me a collection of beaded, crystal drink keepers (to tell who drink is whose at parties) since I don’t drink they are still in the box 5 years later. They are going to be my new project keepers, thanks for the inspiration!
