Last night I started a pair of mittens for Audrey. This afternoon I finished them. I went with the pattern Karen suggested, Classic Mittens No. 615 in the age 5-7 size. They fit her well, and she picked out the yarn so she will likely wear them.

I now need to make a pair for Elliot in the same size. He picked out some red yarn, so I just need to cast on. I’m going to give myself a few days before I cast on, as I don’t like to knit the same project back to back.
You are such a quick knitter! The mittens are fantastic. I bet Audrey and Elliot will want more:)

I do very little at night but knit, so that makes things go fast. That and tiny people to knit for.

Mittens really do go fast, especially at this Audrey looks pretty happy!

I think she was mostly happy that I made hers before Elliot’s. She was rubbing it in a bit.

Very nice mittens, and she looks happy with them! Gotta love those projects you can finish in a couple of days!

When I cast on a bunch of projects I end up finding a few to finish quickly. It makes me feel better about long projects and when I get back to them I’m happier. I am hoping it works on my cardigan.

That is a good strategy!

I’m impressed, one day mittens. I must try them for my grandkids

It’s a really great mitten pattern too. They fit well and are nice and plain, which I prefer.
