Happy Wednesday! I didn’t write a WIP post last week because I was in the haze of Christmas vacation. John was off for over a week and I had no idea what day it was until yesterday when he went back to work. I did make some progress over the past two weeks, just not as much as I would have liked.
Kirsten’s hat is coming along, and will be done by next week. It will probably be done tonight, barring any unforeseen events (deciding I would rather read instead of knit).
What can I say about this hat? I love the pattern. The cables are so fun to knit. I adore this yarn, Manos Del Uruguay Maxima. The colorway is cotton candy, and I love the color changes in the soft pink. It is not my usual color selection, and it has been really fun to work with something new.
I finished one of John’s socks. I have not felt like knitting socks at all, so these have been pretty slow going.
I’m still working on my sock yarn blanket, and it is finally wide enough. Now it is just a matter of making it long enough. Before the end of the year I should be able to finish the blanket and add an i cord binding. As soon as I finish the blanket I’ll be starting another one. It is my favorite knitting project ever. I love it.
Have a great week! I hope you are making progress on your projects.
